4/1/2024 0 Comments Xiaopan xue![]() ![]() 1 PKD (OMIM 128200), also known as paroxysmal kinesigenic choreoathetosis or episodic kinesigenic dyskinesia 1, represents the most common type of PD, presenting with recurrent and brief attacks of dystonia and choreoathetosis. They can be classified into three main categories: paroxysmal kinesigenic dyskinesia (PKD), paroxysmal exercise-induced dyskinesia (PED) and paroxysmal non-kinesigenic dyskinesia (PNKD). Paroxysmal dyskinesias (PDs) are a group of disorders characterised by episodes of involuntary movements that correspond to attacks of choreoathetosis or dystonia.
